My favorite meal ever is brunch - I LOVE brunch. ;)
I also love your blog - I think it's great!!
I've also always been poking around various websites trying to get decent feedback on good restaurants -
Until I landed on yours where there is honest, good feedback on good restaurants - in the Gainesville area!!
Anyway, back to brunch - I'm actually on my way out to 43rd Deli on 13th St. I had a friend who told me that the original one on 43rd St. was actually a dissapointment to her - she liked the 13th St. location better. Now I have to go check out the Williston one! :)

Also, I would recommend you try out Shooting Star (SW 2nd St. and 2nd Ave. right around downtown) and Ichiban (in the same complex as Las Margaritas).
They are my two favorite sushi places!! Although other foods are pretty good, too. :)

Jee,

Thanks for your nice note and suggestions! I remember reading a good review in the paper a few months back on Shooting Star. Thanks for the reminder, will give it a try at some point. My wife doesn't eat sushi, and I have to be in the mood (good sushi is really good, but lots of mediocre/unimaginative sushi out there) but will also keep Ichiban in mind.

If you have any other local favorites or new places you try, drop me a line anytime: flfoodhound@gmail.com.
